This did not end up being the July issue, as I had hoped it would be; life continues, in its various ways, to confound our plans. Our next issue should be out at the beginning of September, though, and I hope that we can return to something like our previous Rube Goldberg clockwork precision.
Worldcon 75 is less than two weeks away as I write this. NYRSF will be represented by Alex Donald (whose official title of “webmaster” so inadequately conveys how much of how many different things he does around here) and by our emeritus theatre critic, Jen Gunnels; be sure to seek them out and say hello. And if you find yourself with an opportunity to mention our magazine, I hope you speak of us kindly.
I don’t remember whether I have mentioned recently that we still have copies of our back issues available; thanks to heroic efforts from both Alex and Jen, we brought home several full sets of the magazine from David Hartwell’s office at Tor. We have most issues from the original paper run of the magazine (the first 288 issues) for the low, low price of $2 each or $1 each if you order more than 3. We also have a few sets of grab bags, each of which contains 20 random issues, for $10; there are 8 distinct bags with non-overlapping contents if you want to get a heaping helping of sf past.
More recent issues are still primarily available through Weightless Books <weightlessbooks.com> or in paper at Lulu <lulu.com>. One of our projects for the remainder of the year is cleaning and uploading PDFs of every issue of the magazine back to #1; watch this space for updates!
Anyway. Time to get this issue bundled up and out the door. See you in a month.
